Pegasus Mail System Copyright (c) 1994-95 David Harris, all rights reserved List of Authenticated Extensions for Pegasus Mail/Windows Updated 15th March 1995 Pegasus Mail for Windows v2.0 and later supports Extensions, or modules which extend the functionality of the program. Because Extensions contain executable code, they are potentially a security hazard, since using a maliciously-written extension on your system can be likened to exposing your system to a virus. Accordingly, Pegasus Mail's author provides a registration service for Extensions which authenticates their function. Authenticated (or "certified") Extensions are built by Pegasus Mail's author and distributed at specific sites. This file lists those Extensions which Pegasus Mail's author has certified and describes where to find them. For greatest security, you should only retrieve this file by sending a message to maiser@pmail.gen.nz with the message body set to SEND VALIDXTN.TXT. IMPORTANT NOTE: Certification of an Extension is only a guarantee that it contains no malicious code nor viruses and that it has been checked and validated by Pegasus Mail's author. Pegasus Mail's author does not guarantee that the Extension will function correctly in your environment nor that it has been written to any particular standard of quality. Certification is only meaningful if you retrieve the extension from the location named in this document. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- FILENAME SIZE DESCRIPTION CERTIFIED FTP SITE ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- 1: The following four Extensions are shipped with WinPMail itself, and are certified provided they are retrieved from the sites shown.
