This patch provides new protocol decode support for LANalyzer for Windows v2.2,
which includes NCP/ TCPIP in Netware 5 and 
CMD

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

The following files are found in this patch:
L_TDTCP.DLL
L_TDDRIV.DLL
L_ TDNW.DLL 
L_RAD.DLL 
RADIUS.ATR 

1. Make a backup of your original DLLs in the LZFW installation directory
(generally it is C:\LZFW) and copy the files from this patch into that
directory.
    Note : The RADIUS.ATR file must be present in the directory where the
LANalyzer product is installed, otherwise the LANalyzer will not load properly.
2. Add the following lines under [protocols] section of your LZFW.INI file
located in your windows installation directory:

dh_bp=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,67,68,0,0,0
dhcp=TCP/IP,dh_bp,TCP/IP,2
bootp=TCP/IP,dh_bp,TCP/IP,1
slp(udp)=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,427,0,0,0,0
slp(tcp)=TCP/IP,tcp,TCP/IP,427
smtp=TCP/IP,tcp,TCP/IP,25
ncp(udp/ip)=NetWare,udp,TCP/IP,0x20C,0,0,0,0
ncp(tcp/ip)=NetWare,tcp,TCP/IP,0x20C
rad=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,1645,0,0,0,0
rad(acct)=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,1646,0,0,0,0

Using NOTEPAD or another text editor, append "l_rad" to the entry DllFiles1
under the [protocols] section as shown below.

You can add the above entries after the entries for the last supported protocol
in your ini file (generally, this is SNA protocol).

3. Reboot your workstation 

4.  Now, within the [protocols] section, identify the TCP/IP section and add
the following lines at the end of the TCP/IP section:
                bootp=TCP/IP,dh_bp,TCP/IP,1
                dh_bp=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,67,68,0,0,0
                dhcp=TCP/IP,dh_bp,TCP/IP,2
                slp(udp)=TCP/IP,udp,TCP/IP,427,0,0,0,0
                slp(tcp)=TCP/IP,tcp,TCP/IP,427
                smtp=TCP/IP,tcp,TCP/IP,25


 5.      To decode IPX CMD (Compatibility Mode) packets, add the following line
at the end of the NetWare section:
         ipx(cmd)=NetWare,udp,TCP/IP,0xA55,0,0xA55,0,0



SYMPTOM:

This update has following fixes:


1. Incorporate new BIG_IO_HEADER (DmdT style).

2. Fix the problem of not decoding NDS packets properly.

3.) Add CMD decodes  


For SLP


1. Display function codes in summary mode and take out flags.

2. Give meaning to char encoding.

3. For Previous responder list, insert a new line on detecting commas.

4. For Attribute Request List, decode URL, Scope and Selected List.

5. Fix the bug in Attribute Reply.

For DHCP

1. Decode more options, specially Novell defined 85, 86, 87 and SLP...

2. Fix the bug for Incorrect XID.



                  

SOLUTION: 

By applying this patch, LANalyzer For Windows 2.2 will be able to decode the
following protocols:

1. DHCP
2. BOOTP
3. SMTP
4. SLP
5. RADIUS 
6. NCP/TCPIP for NetWare 5
