Novell Consulting Snapin Manager for NWAdmin By Huston Franklin NOTE: NetWare 5 has a new way of managing your Snapin's with NWAdmin which is superior to the method used by this tool. The Snapin Manager was created to help you manage your NWAdmin Snapins. In networks with multiple administrators, or if an administrator uses multiple workstations for running NWAdmin, it is difficult managing large numbers of snapins for NWAdmin. Registry's must be consistent across all of these different machines in order to see the same functionality within NWAdmin. Using the Snapin Manager, administrators must copy their snapins to SYS:PUBLIC\WIN95\SNAPINS for Windows 95 or SYS:PUBLIC\WINNT\SNAPINS for Windows NT, they only need to register the Snapin Manager in the registry of the machines where they want to run NWAdmin, then the Snapin Manager will manage all of their snapins for them. Directions: Copy SNPINMGR.DLL to SYS:PUBLIC\WIN95 or SYS:PUBLIC\WINNT Update you registry by running H95.REG or HNT.REG Create a directory called "SNAPINS" under SYS:PUBLIC\WIN95 or SYS:PUBLIC\WINNT Copy all of your NWAdmin snapins to this directory.
